The Creation Station Bexhill & Little Common

I am a mum of 2 boys, aged 5 and 10 who absolutely love arts and crafts at home and are always keen to get making and painting! 

I have a degree in Primary Teaching and spent many years working with children in Early years, KS1 and KS2. This experience has taught me so much about the importance of giving children opportunities to be able to express themselves through art to support their self-esteem, emotional development and mental well-being.

Why I decided to run my own Creation Station... I decided to run my own Creation Station as I really wanted to do something I love and enjoy. Creation Station allows me to bring creativity and inspirational ideas to young children and families in our local community. 

When my eldest boy was 2.5yrs (now 10) I took him to a Creation Station in Faversham. Each week he would get excited to go. He would run to the hall door, get his apron on and couldn’t wait to get started. We still have some of the little treasures he made in his memory box! They were happy days that he can still remember!

What I did before I ran my own Creation Station...I have spent a few years as a stay-home Mum which I have absolutely loved. When my children were young, I spent many days at various parents and children’s groups. I loved being able to meet new mums and being able to go somewhere welcoming and have a chat with another adult, especially on those days after sleepless nights! I’ve made some lovely friends through these sessions and now my children are both in school, I am working to provide a happy friendly group for you and your children. 

What I love about running my own Creation Station... I love being able to give children the opportunity to have great fun and provide them with exciting experiences that will develop their imaginations, well-being and self-confidence. 

I love that I can provide a welcoming group for children and their parents, carers and grandparents to make memories together. 

Something you probably don’t know about me... Things I love doing... I love spending my free time with my family, having days out at the park, walks on the beach and having a nice coffee and catch up with friends. I love to bake and often have my 2 little helpers in the kitchen!
