🌟 Are you looking for hands-on creative workshops to spark children's curiosity and to ignite their learning? 🌟 We are offering a limited number of FREE workshops to support the great work you and your team are doing to support children in education.

With over twenty years of providing creative workshops to over 1.5 million children and families, The Creation Station team are here to help you achieve these goals.

As the UK's MOST recommended children's activity provider you can rest assured that the workshops will be educationally valuable as well as LOVED by your pupils and your team. Our team of 100+ Creation Station leaders are DBS checked, first aid and health and safety trained and we cover most of the UK.

Children’s Mental Health Week In February 

It’s been a challenging time for many pupils who are struggling with the pressure of everyday life. 

The NHS report: ‘Mental Health of Children and Young People in England, 2020’ reported that 1 in 6 children aged 5 – 16 are likely to have a mental health problem. 

Here’s how The Creation Station is supporting pupils with a free positive mental health ‘Let's Connect’ workshop in collaboration with Children’s Mental health week during February.

The free creative ‘Let's Connect’ workshop helps children thrive by making connections in healthy, rewarding and meaningful ways. 

The workshop includes hands-on creative fun activities, to help your pupils achieve the following:

  • Build connections with other pupils and the wider world
  • Relationships: Strengthen friendships and create new friendships
  • Enhance their wellbeing

Enhance children’s positive mental health in your school with a free ‘Let's Connect’ workshop. 

World Book Day Workshops- March  

The National Literacy trust state that the recent disruption to education is likely to leave a long legacy, particularly for children and young people from the most disadvantaged backgrounds. In their September 2022 report, they found that only 1 in 2 (52.4%) children aged 5 to 8 said that they read daily, while 1 in 13 (7.7%) say they never read at all.

The Creation Station is supporting pupils with fun and interactive reading and comprehension [or writing]  activities with a free ‘‘Once Upon A Picture’ workshop as part of World Book day activities.  

The creative workshops help children learn to love reading by  being inspired by a book and discovering how to create their own unique bookmark   

The workshop includes hands-on creative fun activities, to help your pupils achieve the following :

  • Increased vocabulary range and spelling
  • Reading comprehension
  • Love of reading to help progress their learning 

Enhance children’s love of literacy in your school with a ‘Once Upon A Picture' workshop. 

National Numeracy Day In May

We know the importance of offering pupils a range of opportunities to support their understanding of basic numeracy. 

In a report by the University of Exeter and University College London, half of pupils who fail English and Maths GCSEs were behind as five-year-olds. 

The Creation Station is supporting pupils with a free ‘Arty Number Party’ workshop as part of National Numeracy day in collaboration with the National Numeracy Association. 

‘Arty Number Party’ workshops help children understand and work with numbers in their day-to-day life to spark better opportunities and brighter futures.

The workshop includes hands-on creative fun activities, to help your pupils achieve the following:

  • Understand that numbers help us with everyday activities.
  • Practical use of numbers in money, weights, multiplication and division
  • Collaborate with others to problem solve

Engage more pupils in practical use of numbers within your school with an Arty Number Party’ workshop. 

World Space Week In October - ‘Robotic Space Explorer’ Workshops 

Women represent half of the UK workforce yet only 22 per cent of people working in STEM jobs in the UK are female. 

UNESCO recognise that schools play a central role in determining girls’ interest in STEM subjects but we know that some schools struggle to engage girls in STEM. 

The Creation Station is engaging more girls into STEM with  ‘Robotic Space Explorer’ workshops as part of space week during October 2023.

The activities are co-curricular embracing parts of the primary National Curriculum and guidance objectives for Key Stages 1 and 2 

The creative ‘Robotic Space Explorerworkshop helps engage more girls in STEM by:

  • Enabling them to use their creative skills
  • Providing them with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Observing closely, using simple equipment
  • Using their observations and ideas to suggest answers to questions
  • Compare how things move on different surfaces (Key stage 2)

Enhance children’s understanding and love of science with a free ‘Robotic Space Explorer’ workshop.  

Anti-Bullying Workshop in November

We know that many children are concerned about bullying. 

Bullying behaviour is the main concern for children aged eleven years or under, who have called Childline (20% of calls). 

The Creation Station team area supporting pupils with an ‘Anti-Bullying’ workshop in collaboration with the Anti-Bullying Alliance, during Anti-Bullying week in November.

The free ‘Colours of Kindness’ workshop helps children reduce bullying by making connections, thinking about acts of kindness and in healthy, rewarding and meaningful ways. 

The workshop includes hands-on creative fun activities, to help your pupils achieve the following:

  • to recognise how their behaviour affects other people
  • to listen to other people, and play and work cooperatively
  • to identify and respect the differences and similarities between people
  • understand there are different types of teasing and bullying, that bullying is wrong, and how to get help to deal with bullying.

Enhance children’s stand for Anti-Bullying in your school with a ‘Colours of Kindness’ workshop.

For children in the EYFS, these activities have the prime areas of learning linked to 'Communication and Language', developing skills to speak and listen in a range of situations. The specific areas of learning are linked to 'Understanding the World' to help children explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment.

For children in Key Stage One, the national curriculum areas of learning are linked to science – to identify,  name, describe and compare a variety of common animals.

Fun "Slime Making" School Workshops and Home Schooling activities  

Creative and safe slime making fun 

Getting the kids involved in fun and safe, slime-making sessions couldn't be any easier. 

Kids will love the range of activities and ideas they can get involved in. As with all Creation Station activities, you can rest assured that the items we use have been tested to be safe and suitable for children aged four years plus. The recipe we use contains the minimum amount of diluted Boron and is under the European Union safety limit of 300mg/kg.
