How To Make A Superhero Puppet

Be inspired by Wendy and Theo’s ideas for a superhero puppet and create your own.

What You Will Need:

  • White paper
  • A lolly stick
  • Paint sticks or paint
  • A pencil
  • An Eraser
  • Felt Tips
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Here are some tips to help you create your own superhero puppet:

1. Decide on what colour to paint your lolly stick. Use your paint stick to completely cover the lolly stick. This will be the body of your model.

Colour in the lolly stick

2. Think about what superpowers your Superhero will have and design a logo within a shape.

3. Colour the logo and then cut it out.

What logo will you design

4. Now for your Superhero’s head. Draw an oval shape and within it draw a cross.

5. From the centre of the cross draw a triangle – this will be the nose.

6. Along the horizontal line of the cross, draw two oval shapes for the eyes.

7. Below the triangle (nose) draw three small circles. Now draw a line around these circles and this will make the mouth.

Draw the face

8. Now draw on your mask and add any features you would like.

9. Rub out your guidelines (cross on face) and colour in your head and cut it out

Add any features on that you want to include

10. For the Superhero cape, draw a triangle shape with a wavy line at the bottom.

11. Colour in the cape and cut it out.

Design the cape

12. Now, glue the head, cape and emblem to the lolly stick.

Now your Superhero is ready to save the world!
