Scrunchy Crunchy Bumpy Hands-On Discovery
Explore and discover the wonderful world of textures. Your child will enjoy lots of creative journeys in this fun hands-on programme. Activities may include the following
- Rough and Smooth – Explore how different textures feel and make your own texture teddy or turtle!
- Scrunchy and Crunchy – Discover how different textures sound and create a framed scrunchy painting
- See Through Silliness – Explore how you can see through some objects! Create your own fish tank and awesome sea creatures
- Squishy and Squashy – Sort and paint different 3D items and make your own sensory paint bag
- Lumpy & Bumpy – make your own salt dough, share with friends and create a festive wreath
When your child completes the programme they will receive their own ‘Scrunchy Bumpy’ Little Explorer certificate.
Colourful Creations
Enjoy this hands-on colourful creations journey as you scrunch, paint, draw, collage and model all the colours in the rainbow. Activities may include the following
- Explore Red – Explore and paint red in time to the beat. Create your own Chinese fire breathing dragon!
- Explore Blue – Get creative under the sea with ice and water painting. Design your own under the sea hanging artwork
- Layering Colours – discover how colours change and make your own scrunchy colourful bag
- Mixing colours – Make your own green to create a beautiful floral bouquet
- Discover brown – Find out how to make brown on purpose! Make your own lifesize teddy and create your own 3D clay teddy bear
When your child completes the programme they will receive their own ‘Colourful Creations’ Little Explorer certificate.
Super Shimmy Shapes
Your child will explore and discover a world made up of different shapes. Activities may include
- Explore & Discover Circles – Create your own rolling paint artwork and your very own collaged circle friend
- Explore & Discover Hearts – Go on a heart search and find hearts to give to your friends. Explore symmetry and create your own hearts and transform them into butterflies
- Explore & Discover Crazy shapes – make your own shapes and create crazy shapes mask
- Explore & Discover Diamonds – Match shapes to make diamonds. Create your own suncatcher and swirling kite
- Explore & Discover Desert Island Shapes – Go on a treasure map shape hunt. Make your own telescope and your very own treasure
When your child completes the programme they will receive their own ‘Super Shimmy Shapes’ Little Explorer certificate.
My Wonderful World
Explore and discover more about our wonderful world. The fun, creative and educational activities may include the following
- Warm and Wonderful – Explore how we keep warm and create your own mini person and snuggly bed for them.
- Building Bonanza – Create the tallest tower and use scrape art techniques to own make your own city
- Beep Beep – Explore how cars and trucks move and the special marks they make when driven through paint. Build your own car and take it for a spin.
- Wild and Windy – Explore the power of the wind and create your own blow paintings and windsock
- Diwali celebration – Celebrate this festival of lights by exploring colour mixing Make your own lantern.
When your child completes the programme they will receive their own ‘My Wonderful World’ Little Explorer certificate.
Awesome Animals
Enjoy exploring and discovering awesome animals. Activities may include the following
- Farmyard Frolics – create your own weighing scales to weigh the animals and have fun making your own animal masks
- Dastardly Dragons – spray paint like a fiery dragon and make your own dragon puppet
- Munching Minibeasts – make your own Beetle drive game and explore symmetry as you make your own minibeasts
- Rumble in the Jungle – Discover the different sounds and movements of the animals and make your own super long wriggly bubble snake
- Once Upon a Time: Magical Mythical Creatures – create your own flying mythical creatures. What will you call yours?
When your child completes the programme they will receive their own ‘Awesome Animals’ Little Explorer certificate.
Magical Me
Your child will be able to explore and discover more about how awesome they are.
- Marvellous Me – Create your own slippery portrait and an I’m special mirror
- Special People – Create your own family tree with all those you love and a £D painting or the people and places you love.
- Brilliant Bodies – Create, paint and collage a life-size picture of you!
- My Gorgeous Garden – Help the local fairies and create a fantasy garden
- Toy-Tastic – Make your own soft toy and join in our toy picnic

We are one of the first organisations to bring the arts into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ( S.T.E.M) for preschool children across the UK.
Supporting your child’s development
Our award-winning Little Explorer classes have been developed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework for the Curriculum and for Excellence 4 Capacities in Scotland.
We are one of the first organisations to bring the arts into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ( S.T.E.M) for preschool children across the UK.
This means that your child can build a solid foundation of early learning to help them with their future learning.
There are seven areas of learning and three key ways for your child to engage in these interactive, educational and fun classes.
- Communication and Language Development Your Little Explorer class will give your child the opportunity to experience a varied language environment. This will help to develop their confidence andskills in expressing themselves, and to speak and listen in a range of situations.
- Physical Development Your child will be able to enjoy being active and interacting with the safe tools and materials. They will develop their coordination, control, and movement.
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development We will support you and your child, to provide experiences that give your child a positive sense of themselves and to have confidence in their own abilities.
- Literacy Development Your child will learn to start making marks, get involved in stories and enjoy a range of sensory experiences to ignite their love of learning.
- Mathematics Your child will have the opportunity to become familiar with counting. They will start to understand and use numbers. Your child will also learn to identify and sort and match shapes and objects.
- Understanding Their World Your Littel Explorer classes will help your child to make sense of their physical world . There are lots of opportunities for your child to explore safely, observe and find out about people, things and the environment too.
- Expressive Arts And Design Your child will be able to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials, as well as providing opportunities to move and dance too.

How bookings and payments work
Classes run during term times and often in the holidays as well.
In some locations, as well as the option to pay in advance for classes, you now have the option to pay with a NEW Pay Monthly option. Your monthly amount is calculated based on the number of classes running in a year divided by twelve months. (Please note – you can cancel your pay monthly plan anytime).
