Inspiring imaginations in Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley Award-winning and hands-on creative fun for all ages—from tiny newborns to curious toddlers, energetic pre-schoolers, school-aged kids, adults, senior citizens and fun events for the whole community in this beautiful area of Lancashire. I’m absolutely thrilled to bring our award-winning journeys of exploration, discovery, and creativity to Clitheroe and villages in the Ribble Valley. Our art and craft classes, parties, after-school and holiday clubs, workshops and events are designed to spark imagination, nurture creativity, and develop key skills, in an encouraging and friendly atmosphere.
Come and join the fun—let’s create something wonderful together!
Following a diagnosis of MS a couple of years ago, I had to leave full-time primary teaching which I loved. I decided to combine my experience in schools with my former career working in the arts, gallery and museum education and for the charity, Paintings in Hospitals. One of my most exciting early jobs, as an art historian, was researching images of Victorian monsters and genies for the Jim Henson Puppet Company who were making the BBC film ‘Arabian Nights’. Now I get to make them too!
My favourite aspect of running my own Creation Station is meeting people of all ages and encouraging them to relax and enjoy exploring their creative side. In particular, I love different generations getting together to share a making experience that can become a treasured memory.
My favourite quotation is from writer Maya Angelou: “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
As well as Clitheroe, my BB7 area includes villages Barrow, Bolton-by-Bowland, Chatburn, Downham, Dunsop Bridge, Grindleton, Gisburn, Hurst Green, Sabden, Waddington, Whalley, West Bradford.
