Welcome to The Creation Station in Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley. You and your child or children can enjoy a variety of arts and craft classes, parties and events. Classes are available for your new-born baby, toddler, pre-school child and school aged child. These activities are run in and around Clitheroe, providing you with our award-winning journeys of exploration, discovery and development. All the arts and crafts classes, parties and events have been designed to inspire imagination and encourage creativity. You will be welcome to join others in a relaxing, safe, fun and nurturing environment.

Meet Jo

I’m Jo and I have lived in Clitheroe for 7 years and love being in the beautiful Ribble Valley.  I’m the eldest of 5 and have 3 adorable nieces and 2 gorgeous nephews plus my own furry ‘son’, Harry, who is a King Charles Spaniel.

Why I decided to run my own Creation Station…

I decided to run my own Creation Station because I know how life affirming being creative is and I want to provide inspiring making opportunities for children and adults, in a fun and supportive environment.

What I did before I ran my own Creation Station…
Before Creation Station, I was a primary school teacher for 12 years in Lancashire.  Before that I worked in London for different arts organisations and museums, having studied art history at university.

What I love about running my own Creation Station… 
I enjoy being with children and learning with them.  It is great to unlock their imaginations and to share different ways of expressing themselves through paint, clay and collage.  I’m looking forward to doing this with adults too.

Something you probably don’t know about me…
I lived in New York for a year to run community projects in a school which included a midnight soup run in Manhattan for the homeless.

Things I love doing… Sewing dolls clothes for my nieces, cooking up a feast and escaping into a book. 

My favourite quote… “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” – Maya Angelou.

My favourite food…Spaghetti!
