20 Days Of Creativity: Day 7 – Paint Pouring

Welcome to Day 7 of our 20 Day Creativity Challenge! Today, we’re embracing colour, flow, and a little bit of happy mess with Paint Pouring Art.

This technique is fun, expressive, and completely unique every time you try it. It’s a fantastic project for adults who want to let go of perfection and enjoy the process of watching colours swirl and mix together.

Each day of the challenge, we share a video tutorial to spark your imagination. But remember—this is just a prompt. What will you create today? We’d love to see your own version!

Why Try Paint Pouring?

Paint pouring has so many benefits:

  • Stress relief: Watching the colours flow can be very calming.

  • Creative freedom: No two pieces ever look the same—your artwork will be completely unique.

  • Playful exploration: Great for experimenting with colour combinations and flow patterns.

  • Instant impact: The results are bold and eye-catching, perfect for display.

Tips for Your Make

  • Choose colours that complement each other for a harmonious effect.
  • Try tilting your canvas in different directions to guide the flow of paint.

  • Don’t over-mix! Let the natural swirls and blends happen on their own.

  • Protect your work area—paint pouring can get a little messy!

Remember, it’s all about the joy of discovery, not about control.
