Judith took the exciting leap from working as an Administration Manager at a finance company to becoming the owner and ‘Head of Inspiration’ at the Creation Station Charnwood, Leicestershire and now wishes she had done it sooner!
When looking for something that would give her the flexibility that she wanted, Judith found The Creation Station and is now running award-winning, fun, creative art and craft classes, after-school clubs, parties and events in Charnwood,Loughborough and surrounding villages.
This month we are proud to have presented Judith our ‘Franchisee of The Month’ award. Judith is a ‘cold-enameling’ queen and is always a great support to our network offering advice to all those around her. She is proactive and diligent and really focuses on her business to get great results! Well done Judith!

We asked Judith to share why she loved providing creative activities in her community- this is what Judith said…
Why did you want to run your own business?
“To give myself a chance to realise my inner creativity which had been surpressed whilst working in an office environment. I run a Rainbow unit for 15 children aged 5-7 years which is a challenge in itself. I think I have tried virtually every craft there is going, but I am primarily a glass artist and produce lamp worked beads, fused items, and stained glass pieces.”
What attracted you to The Creation Station?
“Because it just sounded awesome and right up my street in terms of working to my own hours whilst still getting the backing from a large national brand. When starting a business it can be very difficult, and having the right type of help and support eases the pressure a little.”
Describe your highlights so far…
“There are too many to choose from – but each week, seeing all the children’s smiling faces as they enter the room for an Arty Party so eager to get on and make something – it’s just priceless. At each session when I open the Magic Ideas Box, the children’s faces light up and again at the end when they show everyone their finished artwork. They are so pleased and I am very touched that I have helped them to feel like that.”

How do you feel about the future
“I can’t believe that I have been running my franchise for 3 1/2 years – it only seems like last week that I was sitting down in a room at Creative Hub meeting the other franchsiees who were embarking on the same exciting journey as me!
I now run super busy after-school ‘Create Clubs’ in 5 different schools, have been part of lots of different events such as ‘The Countryside Show’, ‘Wicked Hathern Fest’ and I recently did a fab craft-based team building event with 12 men from the construction industry!. I look forward to putting lots more smiles on many more people’s faces this year!”
