This fun activity is a great way to help your child start to discover the wonders of the human body. This includes basic biology, understanding how the body works and get a better picture of what (literally) supports us. Plus, it’s a fun Halloween activity too!
👻 The spooky materials you will need:
- White and black paper
- Paper straws – white or coloured
- Glue
- Scissors
- Black felt pen
- white pen – optional
👻 Spooky Step 1
On a piece of white paper, on a 10cm square draw a skeleton head. Cut it out and stick it to the top of the black paper. On the black paper draw, it’s a skeleton body! You can do stick drawings or shapes. Draw in a few lines for ribs. You can add a line where you think the bones will go.
👻 Spooky Step 2
Take some paper straws and cut them into different sizes to form bones/ribs. Glue the whole of the skeleton (it’s easier!) and stick the cut-up straws on the card.
👻 Spooky Step 3
Carefully cut out the black paper in the shape of a skeleton. And you have your own skeleton!
👻 Optional Spooky Step 4
For those who want to, take a piece of string and thread it through the arm straws and tape one end with the straw. Take the other end and let your skeleton do a crazy dance.
👻 Additional Spooky Activities
Put some Halloween music on and let your skeletons go to the Spooky disco together (because they have 'no-body' else to go with 😆).
