Five people change career to run their own Creation Station franchise

Children, families and adults can now enjoy award-winning creative classes, parties, clubs and events in Grimsby, Rainham, Blackpool and Lichfield. Plus due to business growth opportunities, our franchise partner Baypoint Leisure in Sandwich, Kent has recruited Leah to be their full-time Creation Station manager

Anna had been a primary school teacher for 15 years. Anna was the Art & Design Lead for the school and have worked within each year group from Nursery to Year 6 in step-by-step detail, giving me quite a well-rounded understanding of different art skills.

Anna Blakeman “I have always enjoyed art activities, especially delivering art lessons to the children at school, but have found that over the years these opportunities have become fewer, due to the ever-increasing pressure to boost reading, writing and maths results.  I wanted to spend more time doing the parts of my job that I love and be able to prioritise my family much more than my role as a teacher allows.

The reason why I choose to invest in my own Creation Station franchise is that I  get to do just my favourite parts of teaching as my full business! Although I’ve lots of experience in art workshops and helping children, the support you get with the Creation Station is second to none and they are the most recommended children activity in the UK so I am stepping into a supportive business that is already and popular amongst parents and children.

Claire said “I have been involved in education for the past 13 years, through both primary and secondary teaching of art and DT, plus facilitating Arts Award programmes at all levels.   My love of working with children and the creative arts has never once faltered, however the education system has changed so much over the years that I made the decision to change my career path and The Creation Station has provided me with the perfect opportunity to do that!

Fiona began her career as a nursery nurse working in a private nursery and moved in to mainstream schools.

Fiona said “I enjoyed the job and people began to comment that I would make a good teacher. I have taught in schools for 17 years, working in all year groups from Reception to Y5. Whilst I still love teaching, the workload had become almost unmanageable, and I felt that we were being forced to stifle children’s creativity.

A friend gave me the recommendation and once I looked on the website, it looked like an exciting opportunity that I would enjoy starting up and growing the business. As a teacher, I was always looking for ways to inspire children to free their minds and develop their curiosity. Creation Station seems like the perfect way to do this”.

Gregory travelled a lot and ran many events. Gregory developed his art skills and now exhibits his work. Gregory decided to run his own Creation Station to work alongside his passion for painting.

Baypoint Leisure Centre have been running their Creation Station for over two years and as the business has grown they have taken on Leah to head up The Creation Station within their centre and also within their community.  Leah has managed leisure centres and ran many children activities herself.  Leah’s experiences plus her passion as a crafter on Etsy made Leah the perfect candidate to run The Creation Station franchise in Kent

These superstars (Our new Creativity Ambassadors) have decided to invest in their future and take control of how their futures with their own fulfilling Creation Station.
