Why I decided to run my own Creation Station…
I have always enjoyed being creative through painting, sketching and planning themed birthday parties for my family. During lockdown, I restarted my hobby of oil painting which was a definite mood booster and imparted a calming and positive vibe for me.

I got introduced to The Creation Station franchise when I attended The International Franchise fair earlier this year at ExCel, London. I was really impressed by Sarah’s talk at the fair and spoke to a couple of other franchisees who were at the stall. This option leaped out at me as something where I could see myself using my work to enable various age groups in promoting mental health and general wellbeing through creativity.

What I did before I ran my own Creation Station…
I started my career in finance and banking and then took a break to raise my kids. I got involved with their schools as they were growing up and then trained as a primary teacher, and have worked with nurseries as a teacher and SENCo before I joined The Creation Station.

What I love about running my own Creation Station…
No two days are the same. I have learnt a lot about setting up a new business and am looking forward to winning new business in the weeks ahead. I have the opportunity to manage my own business and at the same time, I have the support network of my peers, which makes work more fun. There are so many different business verticals to choose from which means that I can make choices about how to shape my business around my requirements, scale it accordingly and try working with different age groups to find the right mix for myself.

Things I love doing…
Travelling, reading, cooking, painting, socialising with family and friends, exploring nature.

Chocolate Cake – definitely have a sweet tooth! And I love trying out desserts from different parts of the world.
