Easter holiday sessions ’could include watching ducklings hatch’
Parents looking for children's art party ideas could take their offspring to a local farm this Easter to see lambs being born and chicks hatching.
Lamb barns will be open all over the country, and even families living in London could have the chance to see baby ducks being born at the London Wetland Centre.
From Friday April 2nd to the 18th, children could see fluffy wild ducklings, frogs, tadpoles, newts and toads at the centre's 105-acre wildlife reserve, just ten minutes away from Hammersmith tube station.
Other Easter holiday sessions for children will include the Duck Decoy, where little ones have the chance to dress up as ducks and see if they can resist the charms of the decoyman's dog, which will help its master put rings on the ducks' legs.
Storytelling sessions are also being planned and puppeteers could be telling children all about Chicken Licken and the Little Red Hen.
Little ones could also take part in Easter egg hunts and try their hand at pond-dipping.
